Full Illustrations

Full illustrations tell more of the story of your character, and typically feature more detailed rendering and a fleshed out background and surrounding elements. These start at $600 for pieces with a minimal coloured background and go up from there, the final cost will depend on complexity, how many characters there are, and the level of detail required.Below are some examples of recent work.

Character Concept Art

If you don’t have a clear idea of what you’re character looks like but still want art of them, get in touch! I can work with you to explore and create concepts for character design, outfits/armours or weapons, and once we’ve found their look we can move on to more detailed artwork for them if you’re interested in that. Prices can vary for this kind of work, so shoot me a message if you’d like to discuss in more detail.Concept art commissions are much more collaborative and have in-depth planning stages, and I will regularly touch base with you for feedback and updates on progress (more so than with standard commissions). Sometimes we might go through many iterations of designs before landing on the right one, but that’s the beauty of concept art!The process is normally: rough sketches and linework > greyscale flats and rendering > colour explorations. Then, if you’re interested in moving forward with a proper illustration, I’ll create some basic thumbnails so we can determine what we want the final piece to look like. Once that’s decided I’ll get to work on the full illustration.I’m going to use my artwork Myriel as an example below, for this work I went through 3 different armour/outfit designs and the final choice was a combination of them.
